Hey New England Patriot Season Ticket Holder- If You Tried to Resell Your Tickets Thru StubHub...There May Be A BIG Problem for You!
eBay's StubHub Ticket Site has been ordered by the Courts to give the New England Patriots the Names of all persons who bought or sold New England Patriot Tickets on the web site. Last year when the suit was filed- the team said it could seek to revoke season tickets of people who use StubHub to violate the team's rules against reselling tickets for a profit and the state's rarely enforced anti-scalping law, which restricts ticket markups to $2 above face value, plus some service charges.
If those ticketholders were to sell the same tickets on eBay, they would have to abide by state laws, that eBay already has in their system, so Tickets cannot be resold at higher then legal in each state.
Robert Kraft is one of the smartest NFL owners, and this move suggests that the NFL wants to have fans resell tickets thru NFL or individual team sites- cutting out third party online sellers like StubHub.
On the other hand, The New England Patriots are admitted cheaters, and now they are sticking it to their fans. Shameful.
