Did eBay over-order eBay Live 2007! Boston Collectibles? Why are Items Being "dumped" on eBay?
I just received an email from eBay promoting their eBay shop of branded merchandise, and here is what I found quite interesting-
eBayers who attend the annual eBay Live Convention find a cross between Disneyland and Swap Meet Type of Atmosphere. And if you were one of the many who bought eBay collectibles thinking they might increase in value...Think again. The eBay Shop run by their outside marketing firm Alcone Marketing Group is dumping eBay Boston Collectibles at their web site. From single event pins at $.82 cents, to Limited Edition Litho highlighting Boston for 31.00 and change- when it originally went for- If i recall correctly- around 70-80.00. Did someone overestimate the demand for eBay Live Collectibles?
There is even an eBay Bone China Tea set. (Boston Tea Party- Get it) What this says to me, is F U ebayers- if we don't sell out- we will dump the items on the market, just to make our initial costs back.
It will be interesting to see the Chicago eBay Live collectibles, and if there isn't less of a selection this year.
