For the first time in Indy Race Car History, a woman has won a race. Danica Patrick today won the Indy Japan 300, grabbing the lead with 3 laps to go, after the rest of the field chose to pit for fuel in the final laps. Now, Danica Patrick, widely known for her pictures in the Sports illustrated Swimsuit editions takes her place in Sports Racing History.
April 20, has long been known for bad news, Hitler's Birthday, Colombine, The Branch Davidian Seige (April 19), and the Oklahoma City Bombings (April 19). Perhaps now the IRL win by Danica Patrick can overshadow those events!
