Cameron Hughes- Professional Sports Superfan - Makes $2,000 per Game to Cheer Your Team On!
Years ago Roland Stewart was known as the Rainbow Man- He had an afro hair style in rainbow colors- and he was at major sports events with his John 3:16 signs- But he got arrested and is serving time in jail
But You know the type of fan Cameron Hughes is, he is the loud, obnoxiously dressed for the home team, that draws major attention to himself in arenas, and stadiums nationwide. The truth be known is that major and minor league professional sports team pay Hughes a fee of 2 Grand to show up and be the superfan hired by team management to stir the crowd up for more of that team spirit. Hughes may act drunk, but the only thing he does prior to games is down 3 red bulls to excite himself. Yessirree! In the Conde Nast Portfolio article it was revealed he has worked MLB's Dodgers, Bluejays; NBA's Lakers and Hornets; and the NHL's Senators and Maple Leafs. But not all is big time sports, Hughes works 80-90 minor league games a year, drawing an income well into the six figures. Move Over San Diego Chicken! One may question why such big name teams need a Superfan at all?
