John McCain Using eBay as a Model for Jobs? What is he Nuts or Out of Touch?

I know that Meg Whitman, former eBay CEO is a Co-Chair of John McCain's Presidential campaign. But his referencing eBay as a model for job and economic growth is way off base. As a former full time ebay seller with over 20,000 transactions, I can say, that selling on eBay is not worth the return on investment in time and money. That's it point blank. If the media had covered eBay Live 2008, they would have seen a low attended, and somewhat hostile group of seasoned sellers at the annual dog and pony show. At one time eBay was king of the playground, but other ecommerce sites, like Amazon, Overstock.com, Ubid, offer sellers alternatives without the continual hassles of eBay. I compare eBay to the VHS format....it had its lifespan, but was replaced by growing technology.
