Jack Moelman has had a life-long dream to play the World Famous Wurlitzer Pipe Organ at the equally World-Famous Radio City Music Hall. On August 9, Moelman will fulfill that dream. He has rented the 6,000 seat theater for the evening at a cost to him of $118,182. The single evening performance is entitled "A Musical Showcase Featuring Col. Jack Moelmann and Friends at the Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ."
From the Yahoo Story- Moelmann has no illusions of making money or attracting a huge audience. He had to cash out his savings accounts and savings bonds to cover the cost. He also thought of renting Radio City's high-kicking Rockettes for the show, but quickly realized they were way out of his league; they would have cost $90,000 for a five-minute performance. Tickets to Moelmann's show are $50, and he may donate some money to the Theatre Organ Society International, where he serves as secretary.
What a GREAT story- A man who wants to fulfill his lifelong dream. This proves to everyone Dreams can come true. Checkout the complete story - click here
