UK - Court Rules Pringles is Not a Potato Crisp (Chip)
Proctor & Gamble, maker of Pringles, couldn't be happier. Because now that the UK courts have declared Pringles not a potato crisp, the food is not subject to a VAT tax on the item. According to Reuters UK- P&G had argued Pringles were not similar to potato crisps, due to their texture, "mouth melt" taste, uniform colour and regular shape which "is not found in nature".
So just what is P & G saying? Are they saying Pringles are like Twinkies- Manufactured to have a rumored shelf life longer than the average person. LOL.
