I couldn't find a comment from CBS on the allegations that some bloggers are making that Saturday's EliteXC match between Kimbo Slice and Seth Petruzelli was "less than honest". Challenger and victor Petruzelli appeared on Orlando's 104.1 "Monsters in the Morning"radio show after the fight and stated: “I knew I would do all right, actually, standing up with him, but
the promoters kind of hinted to me and they gave me the money to stand
and trade with him. They didn’t want me to take him down — let’s just
put it that way. It was worth my while to try to stand up and punch
with him.”
EliteXC, of course released a statement, and a few hours later Petruzelli recanted and explained his original statement. Surely CBS would have loved the match to last longer than 13 seconds- especially when it was a the main event for the broadcast....I wonder how many phone calls were made between CBS, EliteXC, Petruzelli, and Lawyers?
MMA Bloggers are asking for an investigation into this type of behavior!
