Update 2/9 New York Times
The question is why would an NFL player be taking Nikki Haskell's weight loss pill "Star Caps" to begin with? Haskell is taking no chances and has suspended shipping of the diet supplement "of the stars" until tests can prove that bumetanide was not contained in the ingredients. New Orleans Saint's Jamar Nasbit is suing Haskell for $235,294 in lost salary, due to a four game suspension due to testing positive for bumetanide, a masking agent for steroids. Narbit says the bumetanide came from Star Caps. The diet supplements are made in Peru from garlic and papaya enzymes.
StarCaps Web Site published the following release:
We've received notice of a problem with an NFL player.
We have referred the matter to our counsel and are taking all necessary steps to
ensure that our customers receive product that is safe and effective. We have
temporarily suspended shipping of StarCaps pending the results of our investigation.
Thank You.
---------------------
The question isn't why an NFL player was taking them (it's been explained that they would take them to mask steroid or other banned substances)but rather that more important question and consumers huge concern is, why was nikki haskell putting a potent drug in her product and deceiving all of those taking it. I am one of those people and infuriated. the product has not changed as far as results so that drug has been in there for years and at the risk of consumers health. i will pursue legal council immediately as well.

I agree with what Amy said- I also took this 'drug' and now am having to monitor my kidney functions as the levels started changing. Pretty scary stuff. Shame on Starcaps. I hope they get shut down for risking consumers health.
