Authorities had never given up on finding the killer of Former House Rep. Gary Condit's intern Chandra Levy who was murdered while jogging in DC park in 2002. The alleged killer is Ingmar Guandique, a Salvadorian immigrant, who serving a prison sentence in California according to investigators.
"Your child is dead and gone and it's painful, but we're glad that the police and people are doing something, and investigating, and making a difference so somebody's not on the street to do it again," Susan Levy told KGO-TV in San Francisco.
Condit was linked to an intimate relationship with Levy, but denied any involvement in the murder. The case brought down Condit, who last we heard in 2006 was being sued by Baskin-Robbins for not paying franchise royalties on a BR franchise he owned.
Perhaps this apprehension will bring some form of closure to the Levy family.
