Kate Goesselin of Jon & Kate Plus 8 on TLC made a published remark about Octomom Nadya Suleman. On a Dr.Phil show in Feb, Kate Gosselin had questioned the
ability of Suleman, who is unmarried, to deal with her total of 14
children, including eight she had in January according to the Mercury News. So Suleman shot back with this quote "She has her own obvious
issues, internal issues, and she needs to stop partially making
judgments towards me. She doesn't even know me," Suleman said of
Can you imagine a Battle Royal with the Gosselin Clan vs the Suleman Clan at Wrestlemania 40 in 15 years?
This ought to boost the ratings of the tabloid shows!!!
Don't these female news reporters/anchors learn? When you date the Mayor of a major city, you should disclose it, especially if you are a reporter. LA Mayor Antonio Villaragosa or Mayor Villar, as John and Ken call him was seen in a book store with a reporter from Tribune TV's Channel 5 KTLA's Lu Parker, a former Miss USA. When contacted the Mayor's spokesperson said, "I will get back to you" and a Channel 5 spokesperson said, "this is a personal matter". We all remember Mayor Villars affair with Telemundo Anchor Mirthala Salinas, which led to her getting transferred to a job in Riverside, CA.
Driving today, I came upon a thought listening to KFWB, a station in LA that now focuses on Entertainment and Industry News, rather than just News. What became of Top 40 radio? I used to listen day in day out, but now...sure there are still radio stations, and internet radio stations....but food for thought.....Is the consumer more interested in getting their information from the internet via web sites, rss feed and the like... in these days and times. Has tabloid entertainment become the new Top 40? Just wondering???
Bruno or Sacha Baron Cohen appears to have pissed off rapper Eminem. The video below shows Bruno being flown in over the crowd, and landing with his crotch in the face of Eminem, who was seated in the audience. From all appearances, Eminem was none too happy, and got up and walked out, after his bodyguards roughed up Bruno a little. Only time will tell if this was real, or part of the show....but the rapper looked pissed..... This may have been planned....but.....If Eminem wasn't aware of this stunt, I would hate to think about his response to MTV, and Sacha Baron Cohen. No way does he want to made to look foolish...the man is too intense. It's a good thing Eminem's performance was earlier in the show....Your thoughts?
I don't watch much network television, but NBC's decision to cancel "My Name is Earl" and replace it with Saturday Night Live Thursday Update is mind-boggling. "Earl" was one of the freshiest comedies around, do audience really want to see more of Lorne Michael's Follies?
Hopefully ABC or Fox will pick it up. It's a sad day on Balboa Bl where "Earl" is filmed.
Not that Coldplay doesn't have enough problems....Yusuf Islam or Cat Stevens as he was known professionally is accusing Coldplay of plagerisim. The singer/songwriter says that Coldplay lifted his tune "Foreigner Suite" for their song "Viva La Vida". You may recall the group is also entangled in a legal battle with composer/guitarist Joe Satriani, who's "If I could Fly", is allegedly the basis for the groups hit as well.
Newser has a compilation of negative reviews on Fox TV's Osbourne's Reloaded special. And let's just say- that the critics don't get it. Granted my wife thought some of the program was vulgar, but, she laughed at a couple bits. I thought the show was fresh and funny and a breakthrough for network TV. Perhaps the critics aren't used to seeing antics like this on network television. But for the life of me, What makes all these critics experts? I compare it to, if Borat was on Network TV....Would that be funny? Sure it would! I believe alot of critics look for anything to knock The Osbourne's. If the public wants it...that is what counts!
What did you think Ozzy was going to dress up in a Fluorescent Lime Tuxedo and do a Song and Dance number? These are The Osbourne's....
On The Osbourne's Reloaded Facebook page- Osbourne's Reloaded will return as a series of one-hour specials, coming soon to FOX!
Guiding Light will air it's last CBS television program on September 18, 2009 after airing 15,700 episodes.
According to THR's James Hibbard Live Feed: "Light" launched as a 15-minute network program in 1952, expanded to 30
minutes in 1968, then went to an hour in 1977. The program is billed as
TV's longest-running "drama" because "Meet the Press" debuted in 1947,
so the news program aired longer on television even though "Light"
predated "Press" as an entertainment program.
It will be missed. What will replace it? Probably some talk show or Judge show.
