Is the world overreacting? It's hard enough to find good educators, but this incident seems totally ridiculous to me....
It seems that a concerned parent anonymously (ChickenSh*t) emailed the Barrow School District about Apalachee High School Teacher Ashley Payne over a photo of her holding a glass of wine on Payne's Personal FB page, and the use of the word bitches- as "hanging with my bitches". Payne was never told she could be afforded a hearing after she was fired.
What's the big deal....the word "bitches"....if "fart" is acceptable, than bitches should be!
Michelle Simonson could have gotten 4 years for sending topless photos of herself, along with explicit sex texts to a 14 year old boy at Sashabaw Middle School in Clarkston, MI. But a plea bargain has been struck, and Ms Simonson will only receive a 90 day sentence. Her attorney said- “... she is paying the price. She’s lost her reputation, her profession, and she could lose her freedom"

How many of you purchased a Baby Einstein DVD? Disney is offering a full refund to those consumers that purchased the line of programs, who found their children didn't benefit. If you bought a Baby Einstein DVD program between June 5, 2004 and Sept. 4,
2009, you are eligible for a refund of $15.99. Critics of the program applaud Disney, and state it is a wonderful opportunity for parents who purchased the program, but didn't find them educational. This action has been taken as a result of a class-action lawsuit. (Note: I couldn't find information on how to apply for a refund as of this post.)
