When Richard Thalheimer was ousted from Sharper Image- The Company Lost its Soul! Now Sharper Image is in Bankruptcy!

A couple years ago Sharper Image founder Richard Thalheimer was ousted from the company he started decades ago. Like Drew Kaplan from DAK (another gadget company (focusing on end of life gadgets)that was personality driven that closed in the late 80's I believe) Richard Thalheimer was the sole personality of the Sharper Image.  Continuing without Thalheimer, Sharper Image published their periodic Gadget catalogs, but without Thalheimer's stamp on both the product line(s) and the catalog copy, the company had lost it's "schtick" ( as Rodney Dangerfield once told me- To be a success you have to have a "schtick"). Now Sharper Image has filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and perhaps, just perhaps, the trustees will consider bringing back Thalheimer and to revive the company.

The ousting of Thalheimer was the final nail in the coffin of the company that he established.
