I regularly watch NASCAR, but today was the INDY 500, and I was impressed how ABC/ESPN was right on target with coverage. Though alot of the pre-broadcast focused on Danica Patrick, and Marco Andretti- it was perhaps they were looking to draw that younger audience. The broadcast itself utilized split screen, during commercial so you wouldn't miss the action. The only complaint I have is at time the announcers seemed to intrude on the action when doing interviews with drivers and owners.. But overall it was a good race, not an exciting finish, but it showed the emotions of the drivers- which when you mix Women and Men drivers- is unique. Pole-Sitter Scott Dixon won the annual Memorial Day race!
