Lose Weight with Jump Snap? - The Jumpless Jump Rope!

I used to love jump rope...it was great exercise, but as you age, its more difficult, and the huffing and puffing and black and blue ankles may not be worth it. Now there is a solution. A ropeless jump rope marketed as a weight-loss solution . Jump Snap..... I understand this is an As Seen on TV Product, but I can't find any spots online. Consumerist calls it the "dumbest Infomercial product ever!" $24.95 for a pink model on Amazon!
