This is just what the consumer electronics industry needs. With the news that the Gov't hasn't replaced aging GPS satellites, there is word that not only Gov't GPS systems may not work after 2010, but Consumer GPS systems as well. This includes hand-held systems, and cell phones. If this is the case, I will just toss my tomtom one next to my all- weather-earthquake-survival-center w/analog b/w tv. Let's not panic yet.....if the Gov't can spend billions to fix the Hubble, they can surely spend a couple billion to keep the GPS systems running. Wouldn't you think?
