Real quick. Bought an HP c310a Wireless printer last weekend. It is the kind that allows you to send via the web thru an email address documents to print via ipad, cell phone, or another computer. Cool eh? After setting it up. Everything worked perfectly. The next morning the lcd screen wouldn't launch the printer from the sleep mode. So I contact HP- and somewhere from far away- I was given alot of instructions- What worked was unplugging the printer from a power strip- and plugging it in the wall.
In the meantime for the past 3 days- I, myself, and me- along with hundreds of thousands who purchased HP ePrint capable printers have been SOL. No message on the eprint web site, and when you contact customer support- they give you a multi-step scenario....but to no avail. The HP Forum board has over 26 pages of comments- yet- there is no offical notice on the site. Nothing, Nada, Zilch.
It looks like HP has been using early adopters as beta testers, and wanted to rush this product out for holiday sales to pump up there 4Q numbers. Well...it ain't working.
If you are thinking about buying any HP printer with ePrint- WAIT! I am not saying don't buy it. Just not right now. I love the printer- and can't take it back because i threw away the packing material- thinking it would work right.
Oops- now I find that even after plugging the unit directly into the wall- the sucker still won't wake up.
UPDATE 12/11 5:50 am After uninstalling, reinstalling software, uninstalling reinstalling eprint and web services- I was able to test print remotely from 3 locations. Not to be a skeptic- but I will claim success if this lasts a full week. The HP forum was more helpful than email tech support!
If you are having problems- by all means post here or on the HP ePrinter Forum
