Check out Mary Lynn Rajskub's newest character- Dicki Ferguson- a 40 year old girl living at home...in this episode she is seeking more Facebook friends.
Don't get me wrong- I thoroughly enjoyed "Avatar"- and can describe my thoughts about it in one word- "Immersive."- so that is why, when I saw that the story might be ripped off from an obscure British comic- Firekind....I thought - hmmm, just another disgruntled person trying to discredit the movie and Producer James Cameron. But then after reading the article- I thought...either this is a freak coincidence, or James Cameron may have at one time been aware of the comic. You be the judge on this one as HEAVY calls it- Avatargate!
Clown Patricia Ingalls had one swig of booze too many, as she was heading to an event to blow balloons up for children. Ingalls swerved and hit a car, and was cited for a DUI.
Fawlty Towers is one of my all-time favorite comedies, and when I saw the cast: John Cleese, Andrew Sachs, Connie Booth and Prunella Scales held a 30th reunion. I thought it would make a timely post for all Fawlty Tower Fans. Why is it, that either people love the series, and can't get enough of it....or they despise it? (Photo credit AFP via the Daily Mail)
MSNBC has a story on Stephanie Courtney- 8/21- Link
After a few months I wondered who the perky Progressive Insurance Girl was. After all, the spots are running everywhere. She's comedienne Stephanie Courtney
Am I watching Tunnelvision? Former CNN anchor Bobbie Battista, amost credible face in News Anchor history and one of the most searched personalities on the Internet has joined Onion News Network as Evening News Anchor, giving the satirical web site's TV reports added credibility.
This just in. Jimmy Fallon used the ONN story as his opening monlogue joke, thinking that because Bobbie Battista was anchoring, the story was real.....Link
Leave it to Sharon and Ozzy to come up with a segment of their upcoming Fox TV Variety Debuting March 31, immediately after American Idol - Osbourne's Reloaded- The Littlest Osbourne's. Funny Bit!
Steve Martin appeared on David Letterman, and did a bit about him being on Flight 1549. Though, no one died on the Hudson river landing of the US Air flight, personally, I don't think the Flight is anything to joke about...especially with the survivors and their families dealing with the trauma.... perhaps being an eyewitness at Kent State in 1970 has left me without humor for tragedy....but so be it. Others may think it was tongue-in-cheek....
Most readers know I love Kimmel, not because his name is close in pronunciation to Chemel, because the guy is funny. He and his writers constantly think outside the box, as he did last night. Connie Jones, 88 of Lawton, OK died and the Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home gave this information in her obituary. He time of death was at midnight. So Kimmel sends his condolences to the family, and has his staff find what Ms Jones was watching at that exact moment. I won't give it away...but it is funny!!
