Green Bay Packer Employee Mike Wood Fired After Comment to Coach Mike McCarthy

Coaches hear crap from folks everyday, and I guess that Packer Coach wasn't too happy when long time maintenance employee (over 2 decades) made a comment when Coach walked thru a tunnel. The comment was “get the boys ready to kick some butt this weekend.”. McCarthy said the comment was something that included "lay an egg".  Sad state of affairs when a coach has such thin skin, and doesn't care that his comment to adminstrators got the worker and family man fired.

Disabled Ex-Stripper Ariel Wade Suing White Castle! They Won't let her Power Scooter Thru The Drive-Thru!

Identified as an ex-stripper- Ariel Wade is disabled and uses a scooter to get around. But when she went to the drive thru of her local White Castle, they denied her service. The company says they don't allow disabled with scooters, because they are concerned about safety. They offered Wade free food, but nope..she is taking the case to court if she has to.

Shenoa Vild Fired from Trophy's after 5 Years! She Wouldn't Wear Makeup!

Shenoa Vild had been working at San Diego's Trophy's sports bar/restaurant for five years, when a new owner, Mark Oliver took over. Management wanted her to "doll" up, but when Vild hated makeup, and wouldn't appease Olivier, so she got fired. Judging from the picture, Vild does have a natural beauty. The district court of appeals upheld that Vild could be fired.

Jessica Andersson Denied Disability Benefits Due to Breast Size!

Sweden's Jessica Andersson was in a car accident, and recieved disability benefits because she couldn't work due to the pain in her breasts. But the country's social insurance agency found her large breasts, and not the accident, were responsible for the pain.  Her benefits were denied after a doctor recommended breast reduction surgery for reducing the pain. Andersson is appealing the decision.

First time I heard a case like that.

Jury Decides Russell Connor Wasn't Staring at Co-Worker Nancy Billing Breasts - He had alternating intermittent exotropia!

It got so bad at Grafton Administrator's office, that whenever Nancy Billings would walk by her boss Russell Connor, she would hold a white piece of paper over her breast. The constant staring by Connor whenever he spoke with Billings. This led Billings to file a sexual harrasment suit against the City of Grafton Massachussetts where she work. But once the suit was file Connor saw an opthamologist, and was diagnosed with alternating intermittent exotropia - a  condition that causes the eyes to wander and not maintain focus.  A jury has no decided, that Connor's condition caused the problem, and it was not sexual harassment.

CEO Lalit Kishore Choudhary Attacked and Killed By Laid-Off Employees!!

The Times of India is reporting that Lalit Kishore Choudhary, 47, the head of the Indian operations of Graziano Transmissioni, a car parts manufacturer, was attacked and killed by a group of employees recently laid off that were in a meeting to discuss reinstatment at the firm.  The ex-employees were overpowering in numbers that staff members locked themselves in offices and feared for their lives.

Tyson Foods drops Labor Day as a Paid Holiday! Adds Muslim Celebration Eid al-Fitr

The news that Tyson Food's Plant in Shelbyville, TN has dropped Labor Day as a paid holiday ( with Labor Day less then a month away too) and replacing it with Eid al-Fitr, a celebration that marks the end of Ramadan, the Muslim workforce should be happy. Tyson Officials say that 250 of the 1200 workers at this plant are Muslim.  Tyson officials said 80% of the workers at the plant approved the contract for the change in Holiday's.  Message boards are abuzz with this news- and those upset were told to contact the AFL-CIO.

St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital won't Accept it's Employee's Health Insurance!!

St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, of Newburgh, NY has stopped taking SEIU (Union) 1199’s National Benefit Fund health insurance just before the hospital’s 800 or so service and tech employees were scheduled to switch to it, even though the change had been negotiated into the 2004 contract, union officials said. According to a recordonline.com story. One worker said “It’s insulting to work at a hospital you can’t get sick in!"

The hospital stopped accepting the plan, accessed through Group Health Inc., because payments are chronically late and service is poor.

Gee...aren't all Health insurance Payments slow. Not to mention subscribers always receiving an incorrect EOB, and having to call a centralized location; then speak with someone who doesn't have all the information at hand; only to get off the phone knowing it will take months to solve this issue- hopefully before your bill is turned over to collection!
