Kelly Carrington Playboy Cover Girl comments for Girls of Big Ten Feature! Problem is She Attends SEC's U of Florida! And Disses Big Ten Girls!

Kelly Carrington, A University of Florida Student (U of F is an SEC Conference School) and the Covergirl for the October '08 Playboy Magazine. The fact the October issue of Playboy features "The Girls of the Big Ten" has not gone unnoticed by Carrington. In a smooth PR move sure to anger Big Ten fans of all ages- Carrington opened her mouth.

Carrington said? There weren’t any girls from the Big Ten who were hot enough to be on the cover, so they had to pull someone from the SEC. The Gainsville Sun describes this statement as a "quip" - but for Big Ten- These are have to be fighting words.

Univ of Idaho Team Pulls Logo off the Uniform Butt after 70-0 Loss

I don't know if one thing has to do with another, but Idaho Vandals lost to the University of Arizona 70-Nothing this past weekend Some could say it was the Idaho Logo that was placed in the middle of the butt of the players uniforms that caused the loss- Others could say it was poor football playing. But the Idaho logo will be removed from the middle of the back of the Uniform. Let's see if that helps-  I would bet against it.

Skydivers Jump Into Wrong Football Stadium - OOPS!

This story is not what you really think. Yes two sky divers jumped into the Blue Devils football stadium prior to the Duke vs James Madison game- Stadium and school officials were surprised- as they did not have this highlight on their agenda. What happened was the skydivers were supposed to jump and bring the game ball to the game pitting North Carolina against Meese State. The problem was the weather, as the skydivers while in the air opted from jumping into the stadium because of the severe weather. They probably said "Why waste a jump". Let's go to the Blue Devil's stadium and surprise them... And did they ever!  UNC has apologized to Duke for the "mistake".

Is MLB Turning Out The Lights for Fantasy Baseball Leagues? Supreme Court will decide!

The Fantasy Sports industry is a billion dollar industry, and a court case between Major League Baseball against CBC Distribution and Marketing Inc of St. Louis could set a precedent that will put a dent in the sports competitions. Once again, the rights to the names of players, and their stats are basis of an intellectual property suit, and Major League Baseball believes that Fantasy Baseball Leagues should pay licensing rights for the use of Players Names, Teams, and Stats. CBC has already won 2 lower court cases, that is why MLB is appealing it to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Major companies already pay a licensing fee, but its the smaller companies that will be hurt. Remember when Major League Sports went after Bar owners....we all know what happened to them. If you want public performance rights- You Pay. The outcome will affect millions in all Fantasy Sports Leagues.

U of Hawaii got their extra allocation of Super Bowl Tickets- 1000!

CBS Sportsline is reporting that University of Hawaii  who had a perfect gridiron season this year is getting a whopping (my term) extra  1,000 tickets to disperse. This is in addition to the 17,500 that have already been given to the school. I guess the charter flights will be busy come New Years, as as many fans as possible are going to make the trek to New Orleans.
