Mickey Rourke Punches Chris Jericho in The Ring After The Legends Match At Wrestlemania 25

Results are coming in from Wrestlemania 25, and the bout that the media has been interested in was The Legends Match with Chris Jericho going up against Rowdy Roddy Piper, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat, and Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka" with Rick Flair at Ringside.  Also at Ringside was "The Wrestler" star Mickey Rourke. Suffice it to say that Rourke got involved in the aftermatch action..

In other Wrestlemania Action- C.M.Punk won the 'Money in the Bank" match,  Santina (Santino) Marella won the Miss Wrestlemania Diva Battle Royale,  Undertaker beat Shawn Michaels, Rey Mysterio Jr. Beat JBL in 16 seconds- JBL told the crowd after the match - "I Quit", Matt Hardy Beat Brother Jeff Hardy.

Wrestling Icon Nature Boy Ric Flair Turns 60! Whooooooo!

I remember being ringside at a WCW match at the Fabulous Forum in the late 80's and as I looked up on the other side of the arena- there in the Forum Club doorway  was the outline of Ric Flair in tights, watching the current matches. To think Ric Flair is 60 is a milestone in itself, with all the bumps and bruises he's taken over the years.

Flair is an amazing showman, and as the road to Wrestlemania builds, it's anybody guess how much he will take part in the Mickey Rourke- Chris Jericho angle.  The smoking section has a good post on Why Flair is the greatest.

It's that Time of Year! The Westminster Dog Show! Who will be the Top Dog?

What's the difference in the broadcast of the Westminster Dog Show this year, from other years. Well- USA Network will only be broadcasting the first hour, and then sending viewers to CNBC for the rest of the evenings broadcast. This differs from years past, where the annual dog show preempted or had the WWE's Raw wrestling program move to another cable channel. I guess WWE isn't going to the dogs this year...LOL>>>>>

Chris Jericho- Y2J Punches Female Fan in Parking Lot Altercation! Sports By Brooks is There!

Perhaps Y2J is upset he won't be in a major event with Mickey Rourke at Wrestlemania, or perhaps he was in hurry to get out of the Victoria, Canada arena. Whatever the case....no doubt he has gotten from WWE officials concerning this fan altercation that happened outside the arena.

IS Wrestler Star Mickey Rourke going to Appear at WWE's Wrestlemania XXV in Houston! Rourke Now Says No...We Shall See

Update: Chron.com Mickey Rourke's spokesperson said Rourke would not participate in Wrestlemania, as he is concentrating full time on acting. The back story on this statement is that Rourke's announcement may have been hurting his chances for an Oscar, so he back peddled. His "backing out" will surely be met with comments by Chris Jericho, and perhaps we will see Rourke involved once the Oscars are over in late Feb.

The Wrestler star, Mickey Rourke, on the red carpet for the SAG awards told reporters that the WWE has invited him to take part in Wrestlemania XXV set for Houston on April 5. Rourke did not say what role he would play, but post ended with “Chris Jericho, you better get in shape,” Rourke added. “Because I’m coming after your a**.”

As a note, I saw the Wrestler today, and it was an amazing look at the World of Professional Wrestling. Rourke gave an outstanding, realistic performance. 

Once again Vince McMahon is amazing!!!

I found this incident late last nite, and put it up  on Buzzfeed with the full picture as BF gets much more traffic than I, and.....this is a good buzz LOL!.... BTW- there is NO video of this routine available currently. I am sure one my pop up in the future.

Russian figure skater Ekaterina Rubleva, 23 was being twirled around by her partner, Ivan Shefer, 25 as they competed in the European Championships when the malfunction occurred. Her top fell down revealing her breast, but being the professionals they are- the show went on. Real Troupe- Wouldn't you agree. The team placed 12th for the routine. Lingerie Bowl Player Balks at Holding Event at Nudist Colony! Though many have posed with less for Photos!

Update 1/26 - Lingerie Bowl has been cancelled

According to Sports by Brooks- 2 Major Obstacles now stand in the way of this year's Lingerie Bowl 1) the players were not paid for a previous "game" and has offered 70% of the original agreement with the team members  2) the move to a nudist colony (clothing optional) has upset some of the players who feel they are being forced to play at that venue.

Funny that many of the "players have posed for pictures with less than lingerie on.
