American Chad Vance Has a Terror Train Ride of his life Down Under!

Chad Vance knew he was in trouble when the train started moving, so he jumped on the side stairwell to begin a two hour twenty mirror journey of terror holding on to the side of the Austrailian train on its route throught the outback. Vance chronicled part of his adventure on his cell phone. It was only when train personell saw Vance, did they make an emergency stop.

The song- Pocketful of Sunshine by Natasha Bedingfield. I noticed it being used on the newest promo spot for USA's forthcoming second season of "In Plain Sight".  The song is also used in local spots for Marongo Indian Casino.

Each US Air Flight 1549 Passenger being sent $5,000 check and a Ticket Refund!

US Air is not wasting anytime in dealing with the passengers that were aboard the plane that landed in the Hudson River last week. Each passenger was sent a $5,000.00 check (to offset lost luggage) and a refund for their ticket.
It appears that NTSB rules dictate the rules in the return of their belongings- according to CNN:

An executive wrote a letter accompanying the payment : Investigatory protocol requires that the aircraft and all of its contents must be examined and weighed prior to releasing any items onboard in order to verify the weight and balance on the aircraft. ... The process is to weigh all items in their current state, dry them for eight weeks and then weigh them again," Once they are released by the NTSB, they will be returned

RIP Longtime ABC Food Critic Elmer Dills Dies at 82! Worked for the CIA for 20 Years

In preparing for this post on the death of Food Critic Elmer Dills, I found out that he gained his dining prowess by wining and dining clients as an employee for the CIA. After he left the CIA he went to work as a Food and Travel Critic- appearing on ABC TV. Dills also wrote a number of books. He was 82
